Tedeschi and their new vintages at ProWein
The winery takes on two venues: the 16-C39 Pavillion at the Enoteca Italiana and the Consiglio Vini stand
Tedeschi, a historic figure in Valpolicella, will bring their elegant wines that are rich in personality and representative of the excellence of the Made in Italy brand and of Valpolicella to ProWein March 19-21 in Düsseldorf. The Tedeschis and their wines will be present at the Enoteca Italiana (ICE area Pavillion 16-C39 – stand A 7/8) and also at the Consiglio Vini stand (Pavillion 16-C22).
The three day German event, which brings together 6300 exhibitors from more than 60 nations, is an important gathering for the Tedeschi winery.
“Germany is one of our historic markets – states Riccardo Tedeschi – where over time we have developed solid and long lasting contacts. As such, ProWein is an excellent occasion to communicate efficiently the Made in Italy brand to both the German and international markets.” This edition of Prowein is especially important for Tedeschi because it will mark the initiation of a new collaboration with one of the most prestigious German distributors of Italian wines, Consiglio Vini of Düsseldorf. Consiglio Vini has been active in the German market since 1989 and maintains an impressive portfolio of major brands that guarantee craftmanship and quality. Consiglio Vini will continue with its commitment to quality in its distribution by paying attention to the needs of clients as well as to the details of the product they offer, an attitude the Tedeschis have been committed to for decades. The objective is to create customer loyalty by allowing the customer to become acquainted with the excellence of the Italian territory and offering products that are clear expressions of the territory .
The Tedeschis will present the 2011 vintage of the Capitel Monte Olmi Amarone della Valpolicella DOC Classico Riserva, the crown jewel of the winery. Riccardo Tedeschi describes this wine as follows: “The 2010 vintage has given us great satisfaction – it was awarded 97 points by James Suckling, 92 points by Wine Spectator and 91 points by Wine Enthusiast – the 2011 vintage maintains an unaltered freshness that is enriched by great structure.”
Also present will be a new 2014 vintage of Maternigo Valpolicella DOC Superiore. The last three vintages of this wine have been awarded 90 points by Wine Spectator. “Rich in fruit with excellent tannins and underscored by good acidity typical of the Tedeschi style, Maternigo Valpolicella DOC Superiore reaffirms itself as a great wine even in difficult vintages. This unrelenting quality can be attributed to a land that has just the right soil, altitude and incline” comments Riccardo Tedeschi.
Capitel San Rocco Valpolicella Ripasso Superiore 2015 will also make a showing at this event, “a great wine that reflects the wealth of the 2015 vintage”, concludes Riccardo, the family enologist.
The presence of the Tedeschi wines at ProWein does not finish here. Together with their Capitel Monte Olmi Amarone della Valpolicella DOC Classico Riserva 2011, the winery will also participate in the seminar “Our Amarone: a family good” organized by the Deutschland Sommelier Association (DE.S.A.), which has strongly back the Famiglie dell’Amarone d’Arte.
The seminar will take place on Sunday March 19th at 17:00 at the DE.S.A. stand (Pavillion 15 – stand 15B03), and the tasting will be led by the renown German journalist Jens Priewe.
