13 September for grapes for vinification |
The progress of the seasons was particularly favourable for the vines. Up to August there was a general lack of water mostly recovered with the heavy rainfall in the first week of September.
The very early flowering and setting were largely cancelled by the particularly high temperature in the month of July.
June and July were dry, leading to an excellent state of health of the grapes.
The maturity of the grapes meant that grape-picking was anticipated by a few days.
The sugar content was two degrees higher than average.
Winter conditions were ideal during the period of withering of the grapes destined for the production of Amarone.
